DEFCON (again)

I'm happy - this is finally confirmed for release within the month, and at a quite beautiful price ranging from $15 up to £12.50... of which I'm afraid I'll take the latter. It just looks such fun - a game which really employs tactical depth on a scale which hasn't previously ever been employed.

On a slightly related note, someone on the Defcon forums pointed to a cool little app called Desktop Earth which changes your wallpaper to continually show a realtime image of the world - including the day/night boundary and current cloud positions, tis great stuff!
